Dear Eagle Point Guests and Pass Holders,
You may have seen recent media coverage regarding the Cottonwood Fire and its impact on Eagle Point Resort. Over the past nine days, this has been an incredibly difficult and emotional time for our entire community, and we wanted to reach out to you directly.
As shared in our June 29 online update, the fire has had a significant impact across the resort. We can confirm that 145 families have lost either a home or condominium within the Eagle Point community, a loss that is both profound and deeply personal.
The Canyonside Lodge and Warming Station on Tushar Ridge were lost in the fire, four of our five chairlifts sustained damage, and 300 of our 600 skiable acres and have been impacted. We are continuing to work closely with local authorities and fire officials as we conduct a thorough, ongoing assessment of all areas of the mountain and resort infrastructure.
Our hearts are with every homeowner, guest, and team member impacted. At the same time, we are incredibly grateful for the dedication and bravery of first responders and emergency personnel who worked tirelessly to protect lives throughout this incident.
On behalf of our entire team, I want to personally thank you for your support of Eagle Point over the years. Your loyalty – whether as a returning guest, a season pass holder, or someone who has made memories here with family and friends – means more to us than we can fully express. Eagle Point has always been more than a ski resort; it is a community, and you are a vital part of it.
As we begin to look ahead, we know you likely have many questions and we do as well.We are actively working through what this means for resort operations next season, pass sales, and the overall guest experience. These are complex considerations, and we are committed to providing clear and accurate information as soon as decisions are made.
In the meantime, we kindly ask for your patience as we navigate this process. Our immediate focus remains on supporting those most directly impacted and carefully evaluating the path forward so we can rebuild in a thoughtful and sustainable way.
We are committed to the future of Eagle Point. We will rebuild, and we look forward to welcoming you back to the mountain.
If you have specific questions or would like to connect with our team, please don’t hesitate to reach out at staystrong@eaglepointresort.com
Thank you for being part of our community and for your continued support during this challenging time.
